It's Wednesday and that means ... another "Change The World Wednesday" challenge! If you're new to this site you might want to click HERE to read the "rules" and a little about how we got started with this weekly event.
I really enjoyed last week's challenge. It was a week of reducing stuff and thinking about others. What could be better! I was in good company, too ... our Honor Society:

By the way ... everyone who wrote a "Change the World" article this week got a review at StumbleUpon.
Before I share this week's challenge with you, I had a thought (oh no, not again). I've recently joined Twitter ... and I know that many of you also belong. So what if we all Twittered (or is that Tweeted) about Change The World Wednesdays? Perhaps we could reach a lot of people and increase our positive impact. What do you think? If you decide to tweet about it, include the tag: #changetheworldwed. That will make the tweet available to searches and will start a trend.
Okay ... on to this week's challenge. My bloggy friend, Elizabeth Barrette from Gaiatribe, suggested this challenge. I love it and hope you will too:
Make a craft featuring reused/repurposed materials.
OR
If you often do crafts with reused/repurposed materials, teach other people how to do so. Write a set of instructions and/or create a photo-essay showing the steps of a craft project, and post it to your blog.
Doesn't that sound like fun? It should get our creative juices flowing and get us thinking about how we can reuse/repurpose items which would normally be tossed out. Brilliant!
Last, but certainly not least, I'd like to send you over to visit my bloggy friend, Thomas. He writes a wonderful blog called Renewables At Home and is starting a motivational series which we'll be linking to every week. He hopes to help everyone find solutions to the challenges we all face when adopting a green lifestyle. This week's article is called Does Every Little Bit Really Help?
That does it for this week ... thanks, everyone! And remember:
We're changing the world ... one challenge at a time!

That was so cool! I saw my blog page on someone elses page. Anyway, I think I did good this week and I even posted pictures of my clean out!
On Friday I will post about crafting stuff out of stuff we have at home. I am going to stretch my brain and not use plastic! LOL
Kelli
thank you for the lovely review. I enjoyed that too!
Well, this is thought provoking since I am not very crafty. I feel that tomorrow will be the day of inspiration for me.
Thanks for making me think like a kid again.
StumbleUpon gives me a big spike in traffic every time someone links to a post of mine, so thank you for that. What are the chances of making this a regular feature for change-related articles that people write? Because it would *definitely* encourage me to write more articles.
Also, thank you for the "Does Every Little Bit Really Help?" link. I've shared that one on LJ.
Hi Elizabeth,
I don't know why I didn't think of it before ... and yep ... I'm hoping to make it a regular feature of the Wednesday challenges. So, we'll all be doing something green and, if everyone lets me know that they've written about it, I'll stumble the article. A little visibility here ... a little visibility there ... ahh ... what fun!
And to everyone ... if you're on StumbleUpon, click over to some of the articles and give them a thumbs up.

Mine's up; at http://naturewithme.blogspot.com and http://sharingourgifts.blogspot.com. Sorry I didn't get in on last week...I loved the theme, but we had a very hectic time with a death in the family and a besiegement by yellow jackets.
What are you making for this week's challenge?
Hi Sinclair,
I'm going to post a few pictures on Friday of the things we're crafting. Stay tuned ...
Thank you for sharing this opportunity. We're looking forward to participating (¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.☼
this is a great initiative to change the world one challenge at a time! I'm in.
Looking forward to more challenges.

Thanks for your noble effort to pursue a sustainable life here on earth. It's so important that we give more than we take. Cheers!
This will be my first World Wednesday Challenge. I look forward to it. I will be using my glass cutter to cut my old wine and beer bottles and make them into drinking glasses & tea light holders.
great idea but no commitments this week, as it is 108 degrees here in the rose city with no air conditioning. rock on! does cooking salmon on the grill count as a craft? i was supposed to can this weekend - um, NOPE. :)
Great idea. will try my best :)
hey sorry it's been a while but thank you for the website that you sent i have looked at the website it has helped some. still growing strong.talk to you later.
GOD BLESS,
Just got back from vacation and am playing catch up. Hope all is well with you
It took me a few days to get this post up, because I've been swamped, but here is my contribution:
http://gaiatribe.geekuniversalis.com/2009/08/03/how-to-make-a-mini-greenhouse/
This post includes instructions for making a mini greenhouse from a plastic bottle (with a photo of a finished one) and links to instructions for making an upside-down planter from a milk jug (with a photo of a finished one).
Thanks for the challenge! I love my little repurposed coffee pot and am happy to share!

I also greatly appreciate both the StumbleUpon review AND the many other sites at the review, and in this blow. I want to read them all, so the only disadvantage is that I've got a LOT of reading to do!
But at least it's not random reading, y'all are writing on a topic dear to me ... and give me ideas I can use. Thanks!
