Change The World Wednesday

This week's Change The World Wednesday challenge is a bit different from our usual challenges. Rather than do an activity for an entire week, we're going to do one thing ... on one day ... with bloggers all over the world. Are you intrigued? Here it is:

Tomorrow, October 15th, participate in Blog Action Day by writing a post on Climate Change. That's it! (Click the picture above to get some ideas for posts and to read more about the Blog Action Day movement .)

Imagine ... bloggers all over the world talking about the same subject ... a lot of people with one voice! Brilliant!

Speaking of brilliant ... let's take a look at this week's Honor Society. They walked and picked up litter. Here they are:

Green Gal at Autumn Leaves and Graveyard Stories

Useconomynow at Economy Now

Sinclair at Nature With Me, Sharing Our Gifts and Hoarders Unite

EcoGrrl at EcoGrrl Network

Ange at Signed by Ange (Merci, Ange, de la bannière dans votre barre latérale).

TC at Eco-Running and Eco-Walking

Art Ist at One A Day - Peaceful (Hey Art, love the photo you took while walking and cleaning!)

Joe Todd at My Quality Time (Thanks, Joe, for the banner in the side bar!)

Mrs. Green at Change The World Wednesday-Week 5

Yanic at Walk With a Purpose

Elizabeth Barrette at Don't Trash the Planet

Amy Byrd at Wayland Cooking on Lifestyles Now and at The Wayland Springs Cook (Thanks, Amy, for the side bar banner).

Argentum Vulgaris at Tomus Arcanum

Ann at Save The World Wednesday: Think Green

Rewinn at The Loading Dock Vortex and the Thrift Store

Great job everyone!

Be sure to send me your links for tomorrow's activity. I'll Stumble them and Tweet them!

That's it for this week! Remember:

WE'RE CHANGING THE WORLD ... ONE CHALLENGE AT A TIME!

I'll be participating too - on both websites! Still seeing if DD wants to post something up, but I think she's had enough for a while and just wants to play :)

perhaps we should all take a leaf from her book!

Righto! First of all - great French!!! And next - I am jolly not going to be left out of finding a suitable action to take that I think hasn't already been mentioned by someone else on your wonderful site and links so stay posted. I promise to have a brainwave soon! In the meantime, I am doing the best I can to reuse my old junk!! ;-)

Promise too that I did walk and pick up litter - in fact I raaaaaan and picked up litter (and sometimes I'm lucky enough to find pieces that can fit into my artwork!!)

Hmm, here's a tip: any household item that you are thinking of throwing out that is made of wood or metal at least can often be re designed simply and used for something else. Often all you need is a bit of paint and elbow grease. I will try to periodically give examples on my blog!

I just drafted post for Blog Action Day 2009 at Oct'12, because I am still working in the forest area and far away from internet, but this day I've been in the nearest small town to click and publish the "draft" article:http://blogodril.blogspot.com/2009/10/blog-action-day-2009-strengthen-climate.html

Have done my blog action day posts!

One is about a positive book for kids on climate change (I'm always on the look out for good books for older kids and alas I find very few)

The other is on my pet topic of food waste - I share some tips for how to reduce food waste:

Happy blog action day, everyone and thanks to Small footprints for setting up another great challenge :)

I am not sure if we have any effect on global warming but I think we still need to be energy efficient and help the environment.

Right, my Blog Action Day/CTWW post is up: Why it doesn’t matter whether climate change is manmade or not.

Hope you find it agreeable :-D

My CTWW's post this week was about the 350 Challenge for Global Climate Change. It coincides nicely with the Blog Action Day theme for this year. Check it out and get on board with the Live Smart - 350 Challenge Campaign.

Once the deep mystery of “climate change” has been solved
And “What’s green and causes CC?” is no longer a popular riddle,
The legacy of the era most likely will be:
“Never in recorded history have so many made so much over so little”.
(With apologies to the late, great Winston Churchill).

Hi Small Footprints! Thanks for dropping by my blog. Really appreciate it, and by the way, I will be actively participating in your Change The World Wednesdays starting from the beginning, when I arrive in Columbia, Missouri this coming Friday.
