WE'RE CHANGING THE WORLD ... ONE CHALLENGE AT A TIME!
This week, as part of my Master Recycler certification community hours, I organized several events for Earth Week with my Sustainability Team at work, putting on a vendor fair to showcase local eco-nonprofits including Free Geek, SCRAP, Community Warehouse, ZipCar, Rebuilding Center, and Green Element, talked to individuals about recycling and composting, organized a massive linen collection drive, and an E-Cycling event that managed, in just 3 hours, to collect over one TON of electronics (not just computers but all kinds of appliances). It also, as a bonus, saved our company $10,000 because that's how much we usually spend to pay to e-cycle. For a company that's never done an Earth Day event at this scale, I'm so proud of everyone who participated, helped out, and stopped by. :)

I really looked forward to these daily challenges. I found your site about half way through so I missed some of them - live.
ReplyDeleteThe action I am going to keep is taking my shoes off in the house. I don't really like just wearing socks for some reason. I finally brought my slippers downstairs near the door!
