Meet & Greet Monday (#MtaGt)

Welcome to Meet & Greet Monday!

Grab our banner for your site:

Are you interested in living green? Then this linky is for you! Here are the rules:

1. If you have a green-living blog and/or write about the environment, sustainability, etc., please use the "linky" below to list your site.
2. If you only occasionally write about green living, please use tags such as "green", "Eco", "Environment", etc. and then link to that collection of posts so that visitors will be directed to pertinent articles.

Let's switch it up this week ... you're invited to link twice as follows:
1. If you are interested in green living, please choose one of your favorite Eco-posts/articles, from any site, and list it below (it would be great if you'd let them know you're sharing their link with us).
2. If you have written about green living, you are welcome to include a second link to one of your posts.

3. Visit at least one other site (and while not required, it would be nice if you told them that you found them here).
4. The linky will stay active until Thursday at 6:00 pm (EST).
5. Using Random.org, I will choose one of the sites listed and feature it next week.

Our featured blog this week is ... Environmental Booty (EB) by Shane Shirley-Smith. EB contains information which will help us make greener choices. There are product reviews and a "Green Wholesale" page where visitors can purchase green products at a discount. Looking for a green job? Scroll to the bottom of the page and you'll find listings. While you're at the bottom of the page, check out the list of recalled items ... items which have health risks. At the top of EB, you'll find links to several communities where EB members can share information. All of the information on EB is great ... but what I find most fascinating is Shane's commitment to a healthy, toxic-chemical-free world. After suffering a life-threatening health crisis brought on by aspartame, Shane actively began her campaign to not only educate the public but to work with companies to rid our shelves of harmful chemicals. In fact, this week Shane is in Washington DC lobbying for this very cause. She shares her message on radio shows and (from her site) "... was recently selected by a Fortune 500 corporation as one of the top ten bloggers in the U.S and Canada to serve on their Blogger Advisory Board." I read one post where Shane contacted Heinz and Hunt's about High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) in their products. She was able to find out which company is simply green washing and which has a solid commitment to taking HFCS out of their products. And, as you might imagine, she lets the offending company know that she and other consumer are unhappy with their stand ... and she encourages her readers to compliment companies who are striving to meet our needs as well as the environment's. She is one of those rare people who not only lives a green life in her own home, but goes out into the world with her message. She takes action! I encourage you to visit Environmental Booty ... read, learn and maybe even join Shane in reaching out.

This week's linky is now live so ... list your site, visit and have fun:
